Looking for a propane grill? If you answered yes, then you’ve probably heard of Weber. Maybe it was through friends, the department store manager recommended their brand, or perhaps you stumbled across an internet advertisement about their grills. Regardless of how you heard about the brand, you’re probably wondering what’s all the chatter about. Well, it’s simple really. Weber is known for it’s quality, performance, style, and affordability in all budget ranges.

Over fifty years ago, an backyard griller by the name of George Stephen, Sr. set out on a mission to create a grill that would keep his steaks cooking in the wind, and without worry of a downpour. He got sick of the old way of open brazier grilling, and just refused to deal with unevenly cooked food with poor flavoring anymore. The legacy of Weber all began when Stephen created his first dome-shaped grill and lid at Weber Brothers Metal Works. He created the first classic original Weber kettle grill at Weber Brother Metal Works, where he was employed, thus the name of the grill.

Because people had never seen a grill like the one Stephen made, they were skeptical. But after tasting the flavor of the food that was cooked on it, they bought it, and they happily bought. Weber’s reputation grew throughout the 1960s and 1970s, and it quickly became a nationally known and distributed brand. Weber introduced the rest of the country outside of the MidWest to covered grilling. In 1985, Weber introduced it’s first line of gas grills, and wowed people with it’s patented cooking system. The Genesis line of grills became known for it’s features of heat control and flare-up free cooking. People were able to cook everything they once used an over for on their Genesis grill.

As outdoor grilling became more popular, Weber released it Summit luxury line in 2002. Weber Summit grills were well made, and included some very high end features that catered to outdoor chefs. This line allowed made it simple for a griller to cook gourmet foods on the grill. Then in 2003, the Weber Q was introduced. The Weber Q was the first of its kind to allow true open flame grill cooking in a portable gas grill. They became so popular, in fact, that there are now eight different models of the Weber Q.

2007 was a big year for Weber. They launched fourteen new products that year, including a new line of gas grills, the Spirit. They added four models to the existing Summit line, and an additional eight to line of Genesis grills. All fourteen of these new grills are available in both propane and natural gas models.

Weber is popular because of the quality workmanship put into its grills. They are built of the finest materials, and have some of the best grilling features around. Not only that, but they have a propane grill to fit any budget. And if you ask anybody, they will tell you that Weber just tastes better!

When you get in the market for a new grill, particularly, a propane grill, you’ll find that you have a wide range of options. Propane grills are a wise choice for many consumers because they’re highly affordable, they cook foods faster than most other types of grills. And, some brands, such as Weber, just have unmatched quality that you can’t find anywhere else.

For starters, let’s go over the two main types of propane grills. You have your portable propane grills then you have your backyard propane grills. Depending on where you want your grill to go and how much space you have, you will find that one suits you more so than the other.

Portable propane grills- These are small, often very lightweight, and they are easy to carry around. If you like going on camping trips, or maybe fishing every once in a while, this grill is probably the perfect choice for you. You can take it with you as you travel along, and when you’re ready to get grilling, you just light it up and go. Don’t think that just because portable grills are smaller that they skimp on features either; that’s not the case. A Weber portable propane grill will do you just as good as one that goes in your backyard. It will cook your food fast, evenly, and you’ll get a savory flavor locked in every time.

Backyard propane grills- As the name suggests, these grills are made for the backyard. They are large, usually come with their own stands, and for the person who likes to grills lot of large pieces of meats, such as slabs of ribs or even whole birds and serve them up on nice metal serving trays for everyone to enjoy, then this type of propane grill is for you. Their relatively large cooking surfaces make it easy for you to cook an entire meal, maybe even two, all at once. Again, a top choice for these types of grills is Weber, for their quality of build, style, price, and performance.

Most of your propane grills will come made of stainless steel, heavy duty aluminum, or porcelain. Either of these materials is fine, it’s just a matter of particular preference here. As far as a good brand, you can’t go wrong with Weber. They are considered the best maker of propane grills. But, why? Well, to start, Weber grills last a very long time and they don’t wear out quickly. So if you like to grill often, a Weber propane grill is your choice. They are made with the best quality materials, and they are made to perform.

If you are looking for a great deal on the price, you should still choose Weber. They have some relatively cheap propane grills available, and although the price is low, you won’t get any less quality than what is standard with Weber. So, if you are in the market for a great quality propane grill, and one that has a budget friendly price, choose Weber. No other brand comes close to what Weber has to offer. Just ask around… photo credit: jdtornow
